Particle size distribution
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007812
A statistical representation of the range of sizes of particles within a given sample, indicating the relative abundance of particles at each size interval. This distribution is often expressed as a number, surface area, or volume distribution, providing insight into the physical properties and behavior of aerosols or hydrometeors. It is measured using instruments such as optical particle counters, impactors, or scanning mobility particle sizers.
