Mobility
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007349
A measure of the ease with which a charged particle, such as an atmospheric ion or aerosol, moves through the air under the influence of an electric field. It is defined as the ratio of the particle's terminal drift velocity to the strength of the applied electric field. The mobility of an ion depends on its mass, charge, and size, as well as the temperature and pressure of the surrounding air.
