Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008955
An atmospheric ion with high mobility, consisting of a single charged molecule or a small cluster of molecules. These ions are formed by cosmic rays, radioactivity, or other energetic processes that strip electrons from neutral air molecules.
