Optical meteor

A luminous phenomenon observed in the atmosphere that results from the interaction of light with atmospheric particles, such as water droplets or ice crystals. Examples include rainbows, halos, coronas, and glories. These phenomena are purely optical, distinct from meteors that are extraterrestrial objects entering the atmosphere.
