Meteorological optics

The study of optical phenomena that occur in the atmosphere due to the interaction of light with atmospheric constituents like water droplets, ice crystals, and aerosols. These phenomena include rainbows, halos, glories, mirages, and coronas. They provide visual evidence of atmospheric conditions and particle properties.
