Nephelometry
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007502
A technique for measuring the concentration of suspended particles in a fluid by quantifying the amount of light scattered by these particles. It involves passing a light beam through a sample and measuring the intensity of the scattered light at an angle to the incident beam. This method is applied in atmospheric science to determine aerosol concentrations and characterize atmospheric turbidity.
