Nephelometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007501
An instrument designed to measure the concentration of suspended particulate matter in a fluid, such as air or water, by detecting the amount of light scattered by the particles. It operates on the principle that light scattering is proportional to the number and size of particles present. These devices are often used in air quality monitoring to quantify aerosol concentrations.
