Isoceraunic

A line on a map connecting points that have the same average number of thunderstorm days over a given period, such as a month or a year. Isoceraunic maps depict the geographic distribution of thunderstorm frequency and are used in climatological studies and for assessing lightning risk for infrastructure. Isoceraunic levels are often expressed as the number of days per year with thunder, with values exceeding 100 in some tropical regions.
