Isonival

A line on a map connecting points that have the same depth of snow or the same duration of snow cover. These lines are used in climatology and hydrology to analyze the spatial distribution of snowfall and snowpack. For example, an isonival map might show lines representing 30, 60, and 90 days of continuous snow cover, outlining regions with prolonged winter conditions.
