Isopycnic line
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006715
A line on a two-dimensional plot or map connecting points of equal density within a fluid. These lines are used to visualize density variations and gradients, particularly in cross-sections of the atmosphere or ocean. They are analogous to isobars for pressure or isotherms for temperature.
