Line echo wave pattern
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-001558
A distinctive radar signature characterized by a continuous line of strong radar echoes that exhibits a wave-like or scalloped appearance. This pattern often indicates the presence of a squall line with embedded mesoscale vortices. It is associated with strong winds and can precede the development of severe weather.
