Line integral
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006972
A mathematical operation that integrates a scalar or vector field along a given curve or path. In meteorology, line integrals are used to calculate quantities such as circulation around a closed loop or the work done by a force along a trajectory. For instance, the circulation of wind velocity around a storm provides insight into its rotational intensity.
