Circulation integral

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004306

A mathematical quantity representing the line integral of the velocity vector around a closed curve in a fluid flow. It measures the net rotation of the fluid along that path. In meteorology, the circulation integral is directly related to the vorticity within the area enclosed by the curve, as described by Stokes' theorem.
