Parseval's theorem
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010654
A mathematical principle stating that the total energy of a signal is the same whether computed in the time domain or the frequency domain. It relates the sum or integral of the square of a function to the sum or integral of the square of its Fourier transform. This theorem is applied in signal processing and spectral analysis of atmospheric data.
