Line average
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006971
A spatial average of a meteorological variable taken along a specific path or line. This method is often used in remote sensing, where a sensor measures an integrated value over a line of sight. For example, a line average of wind speed might be obtained from a Doppler lidar scanning across a region.
