Time average
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009676
A statistical measure representing the mean value of a meteorological variable over a specified duration. This calculation smooths out short-term fluctuations, revealing underlying trends or typical conditions. For instance, a 30-year average of temperature data is often used to define climate normals for a region.
