Scan line

A single row of data collected by a scanning instrument as it sweeps across a target area. In remote sensing, particularly with satellite-borne radiometers, a scan line represents the path along which measurements are taken during one sweep of the sensor. Multiple scan lines are combined to form a complete image or data product.
