Luminous

Describing an atmospheric phenomenon, such as a cloud, that appears to shine or emit its own light. This appearance is caused by the reflection or scattering of light from a celestial source, most frequently the sun when it is below the horizon. Noctilucent clouds, visible during deep twilight, are a well-known example of a luminous phenomenon, forming at very high altitudes of 76 to 85 kilometers in the mesosphere.
