Northeast storm

A large-scale extratropical cyclone that develops along the East Coast of North America and moves northeastward, bringing strong winds, heavy precipitation, and coastal flooding. These storms derive their name from the direction of the strong winds that blow from the northeast over coastal areas. They are particularly common during the colder months, from late autumn through early spring, and can cause widespread disruption.
