Operational numerical model

A computer program that simulates atmospheric processes to produce weather forecasts and analyses, used routinely by meteorological centers. These models incorporate observations and physical laws to predict future states of the atmosphere. Examples include global forecast systems and regional models, which are run multiple times daily to provide timely information.
