Regional climate model

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008489

A numerical model that simulates climate processes over a limited geographical domain with higher spatial resolution than global climate models. These models are typically nested within global models, using their outputs as boundary conditions. Regional climate models provide more detailed projections of future climate change impacts at a local scale.
