Three-dimensional model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009635
A numerical representation of the atmosphere or ocean that simulates physical processes in all three spatial dimensions (latitude, longitude, and altitude or depth). These models use complex mathematical equations to predict the evolution of weather and climate, accounting for vertical variations in atmospheric properties. Global climate models and regional weather models are examples of three-dimensional models.
