One-dimensional model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007687
A simplified mathematical representation of atmospheric or oceanic processes where variations are considered only along a single spatial dimension, such as height or depth. These models are often used for studying vertical profiles of temperature, moisture, or chemical constituents, neglecting horizontal transport. They are computationally less intensive than multi-dimensional models.
