Multilevel model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007448
A numerical weather prediction model that represents the atmosphere using multiple discrete layers or levels in the vertical dimension. This allows for a more detailed and accurate simulation of atmospheric processes, such as vertical motion, temperature gradients, and cloud formation. Modern operational weather models typically employ dozens to over a hundred vertical levels.
