Portugal Current

A cool ocean current that flows southward along the western coast of the Iberian Peninsula, originating from the North Atlantic Current. It is part of the eastern boundary current system of the North Atlantic subtropical gyre. This current influences the regional climate by bringing cooler water to the coastal areas of Portugal and Spain.
