Brazil Current

A warm ocean current that flows southward along the southeastern coast of South America, originating from the South Equatorial Current. It transports warm, saline water from tropical regions towards higher latitudes, influencing the climate of coastal areas. This current forms the western boundary current of the South Atlantic subtropical gyre, analogous to the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic.
