Kuroshio

A strong, warm ocean current flowing northeastward along the eastern coast of Taiwan and Japan. It is a western boundary current of the North Pacific Ocean, analogous to the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic. The Kuroshio transports warm, saline water into the higher latitudes, significantly influencing the climate and marine ecosystems of the region.
