Kuroshio system

A major western boundary current system in the North Pacific Ocean, analogous to the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic, that transports warm, saline water northward along the eastern coast of Asia. It consists of the main Kuroshio Current, its extensions, and associated eddies and countercurrents. This system significantly influences regional climate, marine ecosystems, and atmospheric moisture transport.
