Leeuwin Current

A warm ocean current that flows southward along the western coast of Australia, originating from the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. This current is unique among eastern boundary currents for its poleward flow of warm water, which significantly influences the marine ecosystems and climate of Western Australia. It transports warm, low-salinity water much further south than other eastern boundary currents.
