West Australian Current

A cool ocean current flowing northward along the western coast of Australia, originating from the Southern Ocean. It is a component of the Indian Ocean gyre and influences the regional climate by bringing cooler waters to the subtropical coast. This current contributes to the relatively arid conditions found in parts of Western Australia.
