Prog

A chart or graphic that displays a forecast of one or more meteorological fields for a specific time in the future. Derived from the word 'prognostication', a prog shows the predicted state of the atmosphere as generated by a numerical weather prediction model. These charts depict fields such as sea level pressure, geopotential height, temperature, and wind at standard future time steps like 12, 24, or 48 hours.
