Perfect prognostic

A hypothetical forecast that perfectly predicts future atmospheric conditions without any error. This concept serves as an ultimate benchmark against which the skill and accuracy of real-world numerical weather prediction models are measured. Achieving a perfect prognostic is impossible due to the chaotic nature of the atmosphere and inherent model limitations.
