Psychrometric constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008199
A proportionality factor that relates the wet-bulb depression to the vapor pressure deficit in the air. This constant accounts for the energy required for evaporation from the wet-bulb thermometer and the heat transfer to it. Its value depends on atmospheric pressure and the type of psychrometer used, typically ranging from 0.0006 to 0.0008 degrees Celsius inverse.
