Ventilated psychrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009981
An instrument designed to measure atmospheric humidity by comparing the temperature of a dry-bulb thermometer with that of a wet-bulb thermometer. A fan or other mechanism actively draws air over both thermometer bulbs, promoting rapid evaporation from the wet bulb. This active airflow provides more accurate readings than a natural ventilation psychrometer.
