Aspirated thermometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003649
A temperature-measuring device where air is actively drawn over the thermometer bulb to obtain a more accurate reading. This forced ventilation minimizes errors caused by radiation or insufficient natural airflow around the sensor. The aspiration rate is typically maintained at a constant velocity to standardize measurements.
