Quality of water

The suitability of water for a particular use, determined by its physical, chemical, and biological characteristics. These properties include temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and the presence of pollutants or microorganisms. Water quality standards are established by regulatory bodies to protect human health and aquatic ecosystems.
