S-curve method
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008712
A hydrological technique used to derive a unit hydrograph for a specific duration from a unit hydrograph of a different duration. It involves summing an infinite series of unit hydrographs, each lagged by the unit duration, to create a continuous inflow hydrograph from a continuous effective rainfall. This method is applied in flood forecasting and water resource management.
