Muskingum method
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007466
A hydrological routing technique used to model the movement of flood waves through a river channel or reservoir. It relates the storage within a channel reach to the inflow and outflow rates using a linear relationship. This method is widely applied in flood forecasting and water resource management to predict downstream hydrographs.
