Streamflow routing
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009319
The process of predicting the movement and transformation of a flood wave or water volume as it travels downstream through a river channel or reservoir system. This involves accounting for changes in flow rate, water level, and timing due to channel characteristics and storage effects. Hydrological models are often used for streamflow routing calculations.
