Hydraulic routing
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010547
A method used to simulate the movement of water through a river reach or channel system by solving the full Saint-Venant equations, which account for both mass and momentum conservation. This approach provides a detailed and accurate representation of unsteady flow, including changes in water surface elevation and velocity over time. It is more complex than hydrologic routing methods.
