De-Saint Venant equation

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010474

A set of one-dimensional non-linear partial differential equations that describe unsteady open-channel flow. These equations account for the conservation of mass and momentum in a fluid moving through a channel, considering factors like friction and gravity. They are widely applied in hydrological modeling for river flow prediction and flood routing.
