Fundamental equations of hydrodynamics
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005853
A set of mathematical equations that describe the motion of fluids, including the atmosphere and oceans. These equations are based on the principles of conservation of mass, momentum (Newton's second law), and energy, along with an equation of state. They form the basis for numerical weather prediction models and climate simulations, often expressed in terms of velocity, pressure, density, and temperature.
