Hydrodynamics
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006316
The branch of fluid mechanics that studies the motion of liquids and gases, particularly the forces acting on solid bodies immersed in fluids and the forces exerted by moving fluids on each other. It applies principles of conservation of mass, momentum, and energy to analyze fluid behavior. In meteorology, it describes the movement of air and water within the atmosphere and oceans.
