Newtonian mechanics
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007534
The branch of classical mechanics based on Newton's laws of motion, describing the motion of objects under the influence of forces. In atmospheric science, it provides the foundational principles for understanding and modeling the dynamics of the atmosphere and oceans. This framework is used to derive the governing equations for weather and climate models.
