Magnetohydrodynamics
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007089
The study of the dynamics of electrically conducting fluids in the presence of magnetic fields. This field combines fluid mechanics with electromagnetism to describe phenomena where magnetic forces influence fluid motion and vice versa. It is applied to understanding plasmas in space, such as the solar corona and the Earth's magnetosphere.
