Electromagnetic field

A physical field produced by electrically charged objects, consisting of both electric and magnetic components. These components are interdependent and propagate through space as electromagnetic waves. In atmospheric science, the Earth's magnetic field interacts with charged particles from the sun, creating phenomena like the aurora.
