Electromagnetic energy
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005318
Energy propagated through space in the form of oscillating electric and magnetic fields. This energy travels at the speed of light and encompasses a wide spectrum of wavelengths, from radio waves to gamma rays. In meteorology, it includes solar radiation, which drives atmospheric processes, and infrared radiation, which is emitted by the Earth and atmosphere.
