Magnetic field intensity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007083
A measure of the strength of a magnetic field at a given point, representing the force exerted on a unit magnetic pole. In atmospheric science, it is relevant for understanding the interaction of charged particles in the ionosphere and magnetosphere with Earth's magnetic field. It is typically measured in amperes per meter (A/m) or oersteds.
