Dip pole
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005030
A geographical location on the Earth's surface where the Earth's magnetic field lines are perpendicular to the surface, meaning the magnetic inclination is 90 degrees. There are two magnetic dip poles, a North Magnetic Pole and a South Magnetic Pole, which are distinct from the geographic poles. These locations are dynamic and shift over time due to changes in the Earth's core.
