Aclinic line

An imaginary line on the Earth's surface connecting points where the magnetic dip or inclination is zero. Along this line, a freely suspended magnetic needle will rest horizontally, indicating no vertical component of the Earth's magnetic field. This line roughly corresponds to the magnetic equator.
